DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Akkodis is seeking a DevOps Engineer (AWS) for a Contract with a client in Philadelphia, PA. The ideal candidate is highly skilled DevOps Engineer with deep AWS expertise, bringing strong hands-on experience in cloud migration and on‑prem modernization.

Rate Range: $40/hour to $41/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

DevOps Engineer (AWS) Job Responsibilities Include

• Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Lead cloud migration initiatives, modernizing legacy and on‑prem environments using strategies such as rehosting, replatforming, and refactoring.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to automate environment provisioning.
• Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or similar tools to support continuous delivery.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to streamline automation, improve deployment processes, and optimize cloud operations.
• Monitor system performance, reliability, and security using CloudWatch, Grafana, ELK Stack, and related observability tools.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• 4–7 years of hands‑on experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or AWS infrastructure management.
• Strong proficiency with AWS services and proven experience executing cloud migration strategies.
• Solid understanding of on‑prem infrastructure, CI/CD automation, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code tools.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $41.00 per hour
