Device Automation Test Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Device Automation Test Engineer for a Contract with a client in Cupertino, CA. The ideal candidate with strong Python and Java automation skills to execute E2E testing, independently debug distributed systems, and drive root‑cause analysis for complex cross‑platform workflows.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Device Automation Test Engineer Job Responsibilities Include

• Execute end‑to‑end (E2E) testing across devices, backend services, data pipelines, browser UIs, and supporting systems.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual test scenarios using Python, Java, and device automation frameworks such as XCUI.
• Analyze logs, telemetry, and system data to identify defects and perform root‑cause analysis across distributed environments.
• Validate complex workflows involving devices, backend services, databases, and data pipelines to ensure system reliability.
• Independently triage issues, isolate probable failure points, and provide detailed, actionable defect reports to engineering teams.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support test framework usage, improve test coverage, and ensure quality of unreleased features.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field preferred.
• 8–10 years of experience in Quality Engineering, SDET, or end‑to‑end system testing roles.
• Strong hands‑on experience with E2E testing and automation using Python and Java, including device automation frameworks such as XCUI.
• Proven ability to debug and triage complex issues across distributed systems, with experience validating device‑to‑backend workflows, data pipelines, and cloud‑based platforms (AWS/GCP, Kafka, Spark).

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
