Akkodis is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer for a Contract with a client in Tampa, FL. Candidates must have hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues to ensure smooth end-user operations.
Rate Range: $37/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Desktop Support Engineer Job Responsibilities Include
Pay Details: $37.00 to $45.00 per hour

Requirements

Desktop Support Engineer Job Responsibilities Include
- Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices, ensuring timely resolution of hardware and software issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications across user workstations.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity problems and assist users with access to shared resources.
- Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory or similar systems.
- Document support activities and maintain asset inventory records for IT equipment.
- Collaborate with IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues in a Windows/Mac environment.
- Experience with Active Directory, ticketing systems, and remote support tools.
