Data Steward

Akkodis is seeking a Data Steward for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. You will lead data risk mitigation and drive lifecycle, lineage, and control practices to ensure trusted, compliant data for business and technology teams.

Rate Range: $41/hour to $47/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Steward Job Responsibilities Include

• Drive the implementation of enterprise data governance policies and standards across TLS, ensuring proper data lifecycle management, classification, and control execution.
• Lead identification, assessment, and mitigation of data risks across customer, booking, partner, and servicing data domains.
• Oversee governance for third‑party data exchanges by ensuring proper lineage, controls, and accountability in alignment with enterprise requirements.
• Partner with Data Stewards, product teams, engineering, and Business Unit Data Office roles to establish clear ownership and stewardship of critical data elements.
• Lead data lineage documentation and data quality initiatives, defining, implementing, and monitoring controls to improve data accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
• Develop dashboards, metrics, and reporting to track data governance maturity and support data incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and remediation efforts.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Data Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in data governance, data management, data risk, or data controls.
• Strong understanding of data governance concepts including data lifecycle, data lineage, data quality, metadata, and data ownership.
• Experience working with complex data ecosystems, third‑party data integrations, and implementing data controls aligned with enterprise policies and standards.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $47.00 per hour
