Akkodis is seeking a Data Center Technician (Junior) for a Contract with a client in Parkway, Sparks, NV. The ideal candidate will perform hands-on data center tasks such as replacing computer parts and installing ethernet/fiber cables while maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Rate Range: $22.34/hour to $26.34/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Data Center Technician (Junior) Job Responsibilities Include
Pay Details: $22.34 to $26.34 per hour

Requirements

Data Center Technician (Junior) Job Responsibilities Include
- Transfer tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from workstations and other areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the data center environment.
- Assemble/disassemble and populate/depopulate equipment racks as required.
- Replace computer hardware parts and perform basic repairs using hand and power tools.
- Run and install ethernet and fiber optic cables following defined processes.
- Operate barcode scanners and associated software tools for inventory and tracking.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in hardware handling or data center operations
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment with frequent bending, kneeling, and climbing
- Basic knowledge of computer components and proficiency in common computer applications (email, chat).
