Chemical Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a for a Chemical Process Engineer job with a client in Rochester, NY. Must hold a Bachelor of Science degree In Chemical Engineering to be considered. Will commission process systems as part of a startup team at client locations throughout the U.S. Also responsible for providing ongoing client support at factory sites or via remote connection.

Salary Range: $100/year to $130/year; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Chemical Process Engineer Job Responsibilities Include:

• Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
• Develop Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Perform calculations (heat loss, pressure drop, etc.).
• Develop mass and energy balances.
• Perform process system timing analysis.
• Prepare utility consumption estimates.
• Size and specify process equipment.
• Prepare equipment Request for Quotations (RFQs).
• Develop detailed process equipment schematics and assembly drawings.
• Prepare process system installation scope of work documents.
• Participate in process control system software development.
  
  

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering is required
• Minimum Five years’ related experience
• Must have experience within the food, beverage, dairy or pharmaceutical industries.
• AutoCAD drawing experience is required.
