Akkodis is seeking a Body Interior Engineer for a Contract with a client in Kansas City, MO. This position focuses on resolving production and launch issues, improving first‑time‑through performance, and collaborating with design, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure robust interior quality.
Rate Range: $40/hour to $42/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Body Interior Engineer Job Responsibilities Include
Pay Details: $40.00 to $42.00 per hour

Requirements

Body Interior Engineer Job Responsibilities Include
- Own and resolve engineering issues related to Body Interior systems, including trim, IP, seats, console, headliner, NVH components, and carpeting.
- Provide onsite plant and launch support to diagnose production issues and drive First‑Time‑Through (FTT) quality improvements.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement effective Interim and Preventive Corrective Actions (ICA/PCA).
- Analyze quality and production data using Excel and other tools to identify trends and develop corrective solutions.
- Support validation and release activities, including DVPR tracking and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with suppliers, design engineering, manufacturing, and cross‑functional teams to ensure robust designs and high‑quality builds.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent technical education or experience.
- 0–3 years of experience in automotive engineering, manufacturing, or product development roles.
- Proven analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions (ICA/PCA).
- Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams and suppliers to resolve quality and production issues in a plant or launch environment.
