Azure DataBricks Solution Architect

Akkodis is seeking an Azure DataBricks Solution Architect for a Contract with a client in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable lakehouse-based data platforms and high‑performance pipelines.

Rate Range: $60/hour to $63/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Azure DataBricks Solution Architect Job Responsibilities Include

• Design, build, and optimize scalable data platforms and pipelines using Azure Databricks, Spark, and Delta Lake.
• Lead end‑to‑end migrations from legacy data systems to modern Databricks Lakehouse architectures.
• Collaborate with business, data science, and engineering teams to deliver secure, high‑performance analytics and AI solutions.
• Define and enforce data governance, security, and quality standards across cloud data ecosystems.
• Integrate Databricks with enterprise tools such as Power BI, Kafka, Snowflake, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor data engineers and provide architectural guidance, best practices, and technical documentation.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in data engineering or solution architecture roles, with 5 years working with Databricks.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing scalable data solutions using Azure Databricks, Spark, and Lakehouse architecture.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure), data governance, performance optimization, and enterprise data integrations.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $63.00 per hour
