Akkodis is seeking an Automation Lead for a Contract with a client in Tampa, FL. The candidate must have deep expertise in leading enterprise-wide automation strategy and framework engineering.
Rate Range: $43/hour to $46/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Pay Details: $43.00 to $46.00 per hour

Automation Lead Job Responsibilities Include
- Lead the definition and execution of enterprise‑wide automation strategy, setting standards, governance, and long‑term quality engineering direction.
- Architect scalable and reusable automation frameworks for UI, API, and database layers while ensuring seamless integration into CI/CD pipelines.
- Evaluate automation feasibility, prioritize coverage based on risk, and adopt AI‑driven testing capabilities such as predictive analytics and self‑healing scripts.
- Mentor engineering teams by reviewing code, uplifting automation practices, and guiding adoption of advanced tooling and intelligent test execution methods.
- Collaborate closely with product, development, DevOps, and SRE teams to embed shift‑left quality, optimize test data, and stabilize execution environments.
- Analyze failures through root‑cause investigation and drive defect resolution while maintaining dashboards, metrics, and evidence required for release readiness.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10 years of experience in automation engineering, test architecture, and enterprise‑level quality engineering leadership.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing automation frameworks, integrating continuous testing into CI/CD pipelines, and applying AI‑driven testing methods.
- Proven ability to lead automation transformation initiatives, mentor engineering teams, and collaborate with product, DevOps, and QA stakeholders to uplift quality practices.
