Research And Development Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Create innovative concepts and proposals for advanced electrical power system protection and control solutions.
• Support customers and engineering teams by conducting simulations and performing power system studies.
• Prepare detailed engineering specifications and proposals, including the development of protection and control algorithms.
• Design protection and control systems and write embedded application code as required.
• Build and refine models, algorithms, and technical proposals to support project estimating, quoting, and product development activities.
• Contribute to defining design criteria that meet customer requirements for new products.
• Lead or support the testing of design concepts through simulations and prototypes and conduct design reviews as needed.
• Oversee and document test data from design validation activities.
• Perform periodic reviews of complete design concepts to ensure alignment with requirements.

• Maintain strong proficiency in industry?standard simulation and modeling tools.
• Represent Power Systems Engineering to internal teams, customers, industry groups, regulatory bodies, and other external partners.
• Actively participate in professional organizations to promote the company and support its strategic markets.
• Provide supervision and coordination for engineers and technicians assigned to specific projects.
• Travel as needed to support business development, product applications, technology advancement, and customer engagements.
• Perform additional duties as required or assigned.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering degree or related field
• 8 years’ experience in electrical power systems protection and control design and/or analysis
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Proficient computer skills and ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.

Salary: $131K-$150,500K
