Converting Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily converting operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction targets are achieved
• Lead and manage a team of 2-30 production employees
• Communicate production standards, expectations, and goals to team members
• Monitor product quality and report concerns to the Converting Superintendent while assisting in establishing quality standards
• Promote a positive work environment by maintaining fairness, consistency, and open communication with employees
• Maintain inventory levels of sheets, inks, and other converting supplies
• Coordinate with maintenance teams regarding equipment repairs and preventive maintenance
• Keep leadership informed of operational issues that could impact production or performance
• Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and corrective action processes
• Conduct regular production and safety meetings with department personnel
• Ensure effective communication between shifts to maintain smooth workflow
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and professional development
• Maintain compliance with all company policies, safety standards, union agreements, and housekeeping requirements
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations
• Prior experience supervising production teams or managing operational functions within a manufacturing facility
• Strong understanding of safety, production processes, and operational efficiency
• Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Results-driven with strong business and financial awareness
• Experience in corrugated, paper, or related manufacturing environments preferred
