The Food Safety Manager oversees all food safety, quality, and regulatory programs to ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, FSMA, cGMP, and industry standards. This role leads audits, manages HACCP/Preventive Controls programs, and partners with operations, R&D, and quality teams to maintain a safe, compliant manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of food safety and quality systems (HACCP, HARPC, cGMP, SSOPs, SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, FSMA, GFSI (SQF/BRC), and customer requirements.
- Oversee internal audits, third‑party audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Manage environmental monitoring, sanitation verification, allergen control, and traceability programs.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement CAPA for deviations, complaints, and non‑conformances.
- Review and approve batch records, COAs, specifications, and quality documentation.
- Train employees on food safety, cGMP, hygiene, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain to ensure process control and product safety.
- Lead risk assessments, change control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure audit‑ready compliance at all times.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
- 3–7 years of food safety, quality assurance, or regulatory experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- PCQI, HACCP, or SQF Practitioner certification preferred.
- Experience leading audits and managing compliance programs.
