A leading international law firm is seeking a mid level associate to join its Corporate & Business Transactions practice in New York.
This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded corporate team advising private equity sponsors, strategic buyers, and growth stage companies on complex transactional matters. The role offers exposure to a broad mix of M&A, private equity transactions, and general corporate advisory work within a collaborative and fast paced environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on a range of sophisticated corporate transactions, including:
• Advising on mergers and acquisitions transactions
• Supporting private equity investments and buyouts
• Drafting and negotiating transaction agreements and ancillary documentation
• Conducting and managing transactional due diligence
• Coordinating multi party transactions with clients, advisors, and opposing counsel
• Assisting with general corporate governance and strategic transactional matters
This role offers significant deal exposure and responsibility while working alongside experienced transactional lawyers in a dynamic practice.
Must Have Qualifications
• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials
• 3-5 years of law firm experience in corporate transactions
• Experience working on M&A and/or private equity transactions
• Strong drafting and negotiation experience with transaction agreements
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Active admission to the New York Bar
Nice to Have Experience
• Experience representing private equity sponsors or strategic buyers
• Exposure to middle market or large cap M&A transactions
• Experience managing aspects of transaction execution and closing processes
• Broader corporate advisory experience alongside transactional work

Compensation
Estimated salary range: $225,000 - $435,000, depending on experience and seniority, plus a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, retirement benefits, and paid leave.
