The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist for MMIII Infrastructure Mechanical section. This position is responsible for development and sustainment of mechanical systems for all operational and test launch facilities for the MMIII weapon system.
Duties
- Serves as a first-level supervisor, performing typical personnel management tasks, such as: assigning and managing work; organizing and conducting training; acquiring necessary resources to accomplish the mission; and providing feedback and evaluations for assigned employees.
- Supervises, mentors, creates a teamwork environment, and communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels; possesses the independence, assertiveness, self-reliance, and tenacity to get the job done.
- Plans, advises, organizes, and directs technical content for the organization’s assigned programs. During the various phases of the program life cycle, ensures adequate logistics coverage is provided in all planning and programming documents, facilitates requirements generation, and develops/updates appropriate logistics and acquisition strategy documents.
- Proactively develops and presents technical briefings and reports to program stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Continually engages with an extended and geographically dispersed team including subject matter experts from across the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, other Air Force organizations, the ICBM Integration Support Contractor, and others to ensure sustainment activities are successfully planned, coordinated, and executed.
- Knowledge of the development and implementation of Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements throughout a system’s life cycle is preferred for this position.
- This position typically requires a flexible work schedule and strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders to meet mission requirements is highly preferred.
- Demonstrates and displays personal accountability in leading, overseeing, guiding, and/or managing programs and projects within assigned areas of responsibility.
- U.S. CITIZENSHIP
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; employee must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
- Employee must meet Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements, which includes achieving Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP), Life Cycle Logistics “Foundational” Level certification within 36 months of appointment.
