The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Financial Services Officer (FSO) for the 72d Comptroller Squadron exercises first-level supervision while spearheading critical financial customer support and disbursing operations. This is accomplished by directing the timely execution of military, travel, and civilian pay, managing secure disbursing and cash operations, and resolving complex entitlement discrepancies. As the primary advisor for base-wide financial services and direct supervisor to a 20-person integrated military and civilian team, the position provides expert guidance to subordinate personnel and command partners, ensuring the highest level of financial integrity and warfighter support. Requirements: - Has education requirements - Financial management statement - Obtain & maintain a security clearance - Certifications/Licensure - Financial Management Certification Level 2 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA): 1. Comprehensive knowledge of OMB, Congressional, and agency financial management and program objectives, budget precedents and controls guidelines and regulations. 2. Knowledge of the commonly used agency budget, automated financial systems, and performance metric procedures, regulations, precedents, policies, and guides. 3. Knowledge of personnel safety, security and management, EEO regulations, procedures and practices, and Merit System principles and intent. 4. Ability to conduct studies, analyze data, develop alternative options/strategies and make recommendations to resolve budget/manpower issues. 5. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organizational unit. 6. Ability to utilize AoP concepts and principles to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
