Qualifications/Requirements
In this position you will provide expert paralegal and administrative support to the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, 66th Air Base Group attorneys. The selectee will be responsible for managing the administrative discharge program, serving as the victim-witness assistance program (VWAP) coordinator, and providing services to the installation's legal assistance program.
Obtain & maintain a Security clearance Professional knowledge of paralegal and legal assisting policies, practices, and procedures. Demonstrated paralegal skills in the assembly and drafting of legal documents and files. Knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and format to be able to accurately prepare and edit written correspondence and reports.
Knowledge, skill, and demonstrated ability with computer systems software and skill in operating automated data processing, to support office operations and produce a variety of textual documents, reports, and databases.
Demonstrated ability to conduct oneself in accordance with generally accepted standards of professional demeanor.
Knowledge, skill, and demonstrated ability of completing assignments that involve working with diverse and dynamic personalities by gaining their cooperation using tact, courtesy, and diplomacy.
Incumbent may be required to function as a Notary Public.
Must be able to satisfactorily complete training to become a Notary Public and be able to meet bonding or other requirements inherent in the appointment as a Notary Public.
A baccalaureate or associate's degree in paralegal studies is desirable but not required.
One year of specialized work experience at the GS-9 level or private sector equivalent is required.
