The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Operations Civil Engineer (GS-0810(24)-12) to work at 6th Civil Engineer Squadron, Operations Flight, MacDill Air Force, FL.

In this position you will serve as the Chief and program manager, organizing, directing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees and contract operations within the Civil Engineer (CE) Squadron's Operations Engineering Flight. The Chief integrates and synchronizes the Operations Flight workforce to ensure optimal resource decisions are made and executed across CE Operation activities Maintaining Mission facilities at MacDill AFB. Ensures data and knowledge from all operations flight shops are applied to the activity management plans (AMPs) and investment plans. The engineers, planners, data analysts, workforce managers, and craftsmen in the Operations flight focus on proactive CE systems performance analysis, resource optimization, and life-cycle requirements in addition to the traditional role of interfacing with customers across MacDill AFB to gather and validate emergent operations and maintenance requirements...

Salary Range is $86,962 - $113,047 Annually based on experience.

Recruitment Knowledges, Skills, And Abilities (ksa)

• Professional knowledge of civil engineering concepts, principles, and practices and familiarity with architectural and other engineering disciplines.
• Know ledge of a broad range of engineering and construction standards, methods, practices, and techniques, materials, and equipment to determine compliance with federal, state, and kcal codes and regulations; of standard contracting regulations, practices, and procedures as it relates to facilities engineering; knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements as outlined in applicable standards, regulations, and/or technical orders; of environmental principles, practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and current legislative issues; of work classifications and the regulatory and statutory restrictions on the expenditures of appropriated and non-appropriated funds.
• Knowledge of automated data processing concepts, systems capabilities, and economic usage to effectively accomplish assigned functions; and knowledge of program planning and budgeting cycles, financial control and budget systems and management.
• Knowledge of aesthetic and functional design techniques and skill in preparing project documentation, to include preliminary drawings, sketches, and construction drawings; and technique / skill in drafting sufficient to convey design concepts and ideas and formulate working drawings.
• Ability to plan, conduct and record site/facilities surveys and inspection; to analyze, interpret, and apply results, rules, regulations, and procedures in a variety of situations and recommend timely and economical solutions.
• Ability to plan and organize work and coordinate with other engineering disciplines and architects; and communicate effectively both orally and in writing and maintain good working relationships.
