The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a full-time Logistics Management Specialist (NH-0346-III) to work at USSTRATCOM J444, Logistics Division at Offutt AFB, in Bellevue, NE.

In this position you will Identify and analyze maintenance and sustainment concerns for weapon systems, repair part sources, maintenance procedures, and any limiting factors to inform leadership on weapon system capability gaps and risk to mission.

Salary Range is $90,402 - $139,753 Annually based on experience.

• Position is designated special-sensitive and requires a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret w/SCI clearance.
• This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. It is required that you (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if requested, submit to urinalysis testing.
• Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
• A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in mathematics, computer science, one of the physical sciences, engineering or a closely-related scientific discipline is highly desired. Advanced degree(s) are preferred.
• The duties of this position meet all requirements as a category 4 designation and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the parent Federal Agency or office to function effectively. This position must be removed from the Ready Reserve and cannot become a member of the Ready Reserve. (IAW: DoDD 1200.7, "Screening the Ready Reserve,").
  
  

Recruitment Knowledges, Skills, And Abilities (ksa)

• Knowledge of unified command policies, functions, and operations to interpret, evaluate, and disseminate plans, policy, and procedures for national level programs. Knowledge of mission and forces, including supported and supporting command relationships of apportioned and assigned forces.
• Due to the destructive potential and political sensitivity of nuclear infrastructure and the exceptionally serious implications of accidents or incidents involving them or their associated delivery systems, extensive technical knowledge of nuclear surety and logistics support requirements is mandatory. Technical knowledge and background in the complexities of nuclear/conventional munitions and their associated delivery platforms, forms the basis of the employees ability to advise senior leaders as to current mission capability and potential problem areas.
• Knowledge of the deliberate and adaptive planning process and the planning, programming, and budgeting system. Knowledge of logistics principles, practices, and organizational structure needed to assess feasibility and effectiveness of a range of plans and programs.
• Knowledge of services infrastructure management philosophy to develop methods for the analysis and display of program management, planning, and schedule information.
• Ability to review documents, records, and reports to ensure conformance with accepted principals, operating procedures, and regulations.
• Ability to participate in special studies and present data to members from different organizations and commands to identify problems and develop solutions.
• Ability to use office automation tools and techniques to design and generate reports, briefing materials, and/or comparable documents.
• Ability to clearly articulate objectives, in group settings, garner required support, and build consensus using developed interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess current and projected programs for effectiveness in achieving command objectives.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues; and maintain good working relationships with diverse groups and executive-level command management.
