Qualifications: In this position, you will serve as an acquisition logistician, utilizing your expertise to develop, implement, and direct comprehensive life cycle logistics support for major weapon systems. This position is responsible for planning, managing, and executing all 12 Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements to ensure our systems are supportable, sustainable, and ready for the mission from concept through disposal. You will lead Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and be a key advisor to program leadership on all sustainment and product support matters. Must be able to obtain & maintain a Secret/Top Secret/SCI Security clearance Full-time telework or remote telework is not authorized for this position Situational telework may be authorized on a case-by-case basis according to organizational internal policies This may be a designated Drug Testing Position A bachelor’s degree or higher is Highly Desirable DAWIA Certification Required: APDP Life Cycle Logistics (LCL), Foundational Level (formerly LCL Level I), is required for this position or must be obtainable within 36 months of assignment. Occasional travel may be required KSAs (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Knowledge of policies, practices, regulations, and laws concerning the acquisition process and life cycle logistics management. Knowledge of all 12 Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements and the ability to develop and execute a Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP) for a major weapon system. Knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, and organizational structures of the DoD, Air Force, and other entities that influence the acquisition and sustainment of weapon systems. Skill in leading and managing Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), overseeing critical aspects of development, production, and support for systems, subsystems, or equipment. Ability to integrate, analyze, and manage a variety of logistics functions and perform detailed analyses (e.g., Business Case Analysis, Level of Repair Analysis) to optimize a system's supportability and reduce total ownership cost. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with clarity, conciseness, and technical accuracy to senior leaders and diverse functional teams.
