The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a, Full Time, Information Technology (IT) Specialist, Senior Network Administrator/Engineer (GS-2210-12), working at the 805th Combat Training Squadron (CTS), at Nellis Air Force Base (AFB), in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Salary: ($91,427 - $118,857) based on experience and qualifications.
20% Telework may be authorized based on supervisory approval.

Qualifications/Requirements
In this position you will serve as a senior IT Specialist network administrator/ engineer with responsibility for planning and coordinating the installation, testing, modifying, upgrading, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software. You will provide technical advice to senior leadership and technical assistance and training to organization personnel.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain a “Top Secret” Security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
Must be able obtain and maintain the appropriate Information Assurance certification; Level II Security , within 6 months of assigned duties.

- Knowledge of a full range of network systems (LAN/WAN) design principles, methodologies, and approaches used in developing, testing, installing operating, managing, and maintaining network services that support functional requirements.
- Knowledge of network architecture, interrelationships: operating modes, configuration topology, and protocols typically found at base and enterprise level.
- Knowledge of network operating and maintenance concepts, and methods to troubleshoot network: problems.
- Knowledge of complex configuration management techniques, and requirements appropriate to managing base and enterprise level network systems.
- Ability to gather facts and use effective analytical and evaluative methods to assess information, plan the sequence of actions necessary, make sound decisions, and solve a variety of network problems; and to analyze component interrelationships and evaluate network systems and computer applications from an operational perspective.
- Ability to maintain an up-to-date awareness of technological advances: and predict how management can meet future requirements.
