Salary Range: $104,502 - $124,127 based on experience.

This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD Instruction 1400.25-V2007.
In this position you will serve as an Information Technology Specialist to provide technical and procedural customer assistance in the implementation and sustainment of the Air Force Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) and Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) for the Department of War (DoW) customer base.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance
- This position is designated by the Air Force as a testing designated position under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program and is subject to random drug testing.
- Knowledge of key management systems at the Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 levels. Ability to analyze and resolve Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 hardware and software operational/configuration problems.
- Candidates must possess a comprehensive understanding of the policies, procedures, and operations governing the Communications Security (COMSEC) Responsible Officer, Base COMSEC Manager, and Tier 1 Operator. Core duties involve processing, issuing, and distributing COMSEC material, alongside managing cryptographic keys by ordering from the Central Office of Records (COR), generating Accounting Legend Code (ALC) 6/7 keys, and maintaining strict accountability for traditional keys. Furthermore, personnel are required to encrypt and decrypt electronic key material, transfer and receive keys via secure telephony, and interact directly with Tier 0 by exchanging credentials with the National Security Agency (NSA) to securely download key materials.
- Knowledge of security practices for ensuring the safeguarding of classified information.
- Skills required in working with customers include tact, patience, and oral communications. Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software operational problems telephonically. Knowledge of applicable customer services standards. Ability to maintain good working relationships.
- Ability to review, analyze, and evaluate key management programs and systems.
- Ability to maintain a computer system, equipment, and software. Ability to analyze computer network, software, and hardware problems, and to refer/develop effective economical solutions. Ability to train users on computer systems.
- This position is an Engineering and Technical Management Practicioner Level and incumbent must meet appropriate certification requirements IAW the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) program guidelines..
- This position requires information assurance (IA) work as an additional duty. Per DoD 8570.01-M, the recipient of this additional duty must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties. A waiver of this six-month requirement may be granted per DoD 8570.01-M, C3.2.4.2 or C3.2.4.3. Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in the reassignment of this additional duty to another employee within the organization.
- Employee is required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.
