- 2026 Salary Range: $26.94-$31.43/Hour (includes locality)

Primary Duty: To install, modify, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, load and test new and installed equipment, including security alarms, fire alarms, base warning systems, automatic gates, traffic lights and other related equipment.
- Effectively and accurately overhauls, repairs, fabricates, and/or modifies equipment in accordance with accepted trade practices.
- Accurately interprets diagrams, schematics, and technical orders and determines project requirements.
- Properly applies standardized, specific procedures and techniques to install, modify or repair electronically controlled equipment.
- Effectively uses the appropriate testing equipment and reliably troubleshoots equipment. Equipment is accurately tunes, aligned, and calibrated.
- Accurately determines problems, malfunctions, and extent of repairs in required with minimum downtime.
- Effectively conducts periodic inspection and scheduled maintenance of' systems and components to ensure optimum energy consumption and enhance system capabilities.
- Consistently prevents major damage or system shutdowns by adhering to proper maintenance requirements.
- Consistently operates and maintains equipment in a safe manner, applying established safety rules and regulations to minimize minor violations and to avoid major violations due to employee error or negligence.
- Strictly adheres to safety and security procedures and regulations and promptly reports any observed or identified violations in accordance with established guidelines with established guidelines.
- Accurately completes, coordinates, and maintains up-to-date records of action taken and equipment/tools used.
- Develops and maintains good rapport with all individuals while performing assigned duties

- The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Work may occasionally require travel away tom the normal duty station and/or may be required to travel on military or commercial aircraft.
- Shift work may be required.
- Emergency overtime may be required.
- The work may require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license will be required for the position.
- The work may require the employee to operate (with proper training) specialized vehicles, such as motorized maintenance platforms, "High Reaches", or other types of lifts.
- Knowledge of the testing troubleshooting, repair and calibration of electronically controlled components and accessories.
- Knowledge of electronic theory and circuits and basic logic circuits for power, timing, and motion controls, indicating and counting mechanisms, and similar devices.
- Knowledge of the operations, capabilities, and limitations of electronic systems complicated by a variety of multicomponent assemblies and devices.
- Knowledge of related electrical, mechanical optical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of safety, environmental, and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
