Job Summary:
The Security Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting hardware and software security solutions to safeguard the organization’s operations. This role involves managing firewall configurations, monitoring security systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with security standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Check Point firewalls (R7x or newer), strong networking knowledge, and the ability to work across multiple security domains in a fast-paced environment. This position offers a long-term growth opportunity to advance into a Security Manager role.
Main Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of escalation for security-related technical and process issues.
- Design, configure, and maintain security architecture, including firewalls, VPNs, and other security platforms.
- Monitor and analyze security logs, perform trend analysis, and identify top security incidents to mitigate future risks.
- Create and update firewall rule sets, policies, and device configurations while ensuring compliance.
- Support vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security awareness programs across the organization.
- Document and improve security processes, and coordinate planned changes with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in firewall solution delivery, including design, deployment, administration, and support.
- Required: At least 1 year of experience managing Check Point firewalls at R7x level (preferably R75 ); experience with R8x (e.g., R81.20) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of networking communications and network security principles.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to present ideas clearly in technical and business-friendly language.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in high-pressure environments.
- Proven ability to research and resolve a wide range of security issues.
