Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Lead Agilist to fill an open position with one of our clients in the financial services industry. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and mature Agile Squads within a highly regulated, enterprise environment while influencing Agile adoption across the broader organization. In this role, you will serve as a servant leader and coach, guiding teams to deliver meaningful business value while embracing Agile and Scrum principles. You’ll work hands-on with Product Owners, Development Teams, and leaders to foster continuous improvement, collaboration, and a strong customer-first mindset.
Responsibilities
- Coach and guide Agile Squads in the effective application of Agile and Scrum values, principles, and the Scrum Framework
- Facilitate Scrum events including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement to ensure teams realize value
- Partner with Product Owners and Development Teams to support effective backlog management, self-organization, and continuous improvement
- Identify, manage, and escalate risks and impediments while fostering a trusting, transparent, and high-performing team environment
The Ideal Candidate
- 5 years of full-time business experience with 3 years of hands-on Scrum experience
- Strong understanding of Agile principles, the Scrum Framework, and building high-performing teams using inspect-and-adapt loops
- Proven coaching, mentoring, and facilitation skills across multiple levels of an organization
- Experience leveraging empirical data, feedback loops, and metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Working knowledge of Agile-supporting practices such as CI/CD, test-driven development, and automation
- Familiarity with other Agile frameworks and ways of working, including Kanban, Scrumban, XP, or similar
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
