Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Quality Control Laboratory Technician to support laboratory operations in a beverage manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of microbiology, aseptic techniques, laboratory equipment, and quality control procedures.

In this role, you will collect samples from production and packaging operations, perform laboratory processing activities, maintain accurate records, and support timely testing and reporting to ensure product quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect samples from brewing, manufacturing, and packaging operations for laboratory testing.

• Process samples accurately and efficiently for timely analysis and reporting.

• Follow aseptic techniques and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).

• Enter, retrieve, and maintain accurate data across multiple databases and computer systems.

• Operate laboratory equipment, including microscopes, pipettes, centrifuges, incubators, autoclaves, laminar flow hoods, vacuum systems, and other laboratory instruments.

• Handle laboratory glassware, sample bottles, coolers, freezers, and related materials.

• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.

• Use two-way radios and personal CO2 monitors in accordance with workplace safety procedures.

• Collaborate with production, packaging, and quality teams to support operational and quality requirements.

• Follow all company, department, brewery, and laboratory policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

• Complete assigned tasks accurately and within established timelines.

Required Qualifications

• Basic understanding of microbiology and aseptic techniques.

• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and laboratory safety procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in sample handling and data entry.

• Good communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.

• Basic computer skills and the ability to work with multiple databases or computer systems.

• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and established safety protocols.

• Strong time management, accountability, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a quality control laboratory, microbiology laboratory, or food and beverage manufacturing environment.

• Experience with sample collection, preparation, processing, or laboratory testing.

• Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and aseptic handling procedures.

• Experience working in a manufacturing, brewery, or production facility.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Ability to lift and carry cases of beverage samples.

• Ability to use stairs and elevators frequently.

• Ability to work in a brewery or manufacturing environment with varying conditions, including wet, cold, dusty, and hot areas.

• Ability to wear and use required personal protective and safety equipment.

• Ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, including day and night shifts.
