You will join the team of our researchers working on alternative positioning and navigation using novel quantum magnetometers. Your tasks and responsibilities Exploring advanced estimation algorithms for magnetic anomaly navigation to optimize. positioning uncertainty using the geomagnetic anomaly field as a position reference. Adapting, implementing and testing suitable algorithms in a navigation simulation. Desired skills and qualifications Enrolled full time student (d/f/m) within electrical engineering, robotics, aerospace engineering, computer science, physics or a related field. Good mathematical skills in probability theory and non-linear dynamics. Experience in Matlab or Python programming. Previous experience in machine learning, state estimation, sensor fusion and/or navigation are a plus. Fluent in English or German.
