Job Title: Coding Instructor – After-School Program (K–8, Part-Time)
Job Type: Contract | Part-Time
Compensation: $30–$37/hour
Schedule: Wednesdays, 1–2 hours after school
Location: Oakland, CA

Role Overview We’re seeking a Coding Instructor to lead structured after-school sessions for grades K–8. This position emphasizes hands-on coding projects that encourage creativity, digital literacy, and teamwork.

Key Duties

  • Teach beginner coding lessons once a week.
  • Guide students through collaborative coding activities.
  • Provide lesson plans and progress updates to the program coordinator.
  • Manage and care for class devices and materials.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; some college coursework or degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children in educational settings.
  • Reliable transportation to Oakland and consistent Wednesday availability.
  • Dependable and committed to completing the Fall program.

Candidates may also be considered for assistant or substitute teaching roles.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 2 per week
