Role Summary
We’re looking for a motivated Coding Instructor to deliver weekly after-school classes for middle school students. This role is perfect for educators, recent graduates, or professionals with a tech background who are eager to inspire the next generation of coders. Through hands-on projects, students will build problem-solving skills, creativity, and digital literacy in a fun and supportive environment.
Program Focus
- Introductory coding concepts taught in a clear, beginner-friendly format
- Creative projects that encourage collaboration, innovation, and critical thinking
- A balance of structured lessons and open-ended exploration to spark curiosity
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate engaging coding classes using the prepared curriculum
- Support students step by step, while motivating them to work through challenges
- Encourage teamwork, persistence, and independent problem-solving
- Manage class materials, devices, and supplies for smooth sessions
- Provide updates and feedback to program coordinators
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; college-level coursework or degree preferred
- Experience working with youth in educational, tutoring, camp, or enrichment settings
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom leadership skills
- Dependable, punctual, and available for the full Fall schedule
- Enthusiasm for teaching technology and inspiring middle school learners
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
