Position Overview
We’re seeking an enthusiastic After-School Coding Instructor to work with elementary and middle school students. This role is well-suited for educators, recent graduates, or professionals who are passionate about technology and eager to help students develop problem-solving abilities, creativity, and digital literacy skills.
Instructional Focus
- Teach beginner-level coding concepts once a week
- Lead projects that encourage collaboration, critical thinking, and innovation
- Balance structured lessons with opportunities for exploration and discovery
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver interactive coding sessions using the provided curriculum
- Provide step-by-step support while promoting persistence and teamwork
- Maintain accurate class notes and communicate regularly with program staff
- Organize classroom materials, devices, and supplies
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; college coursework or degree preferred
- Experience teaching or supervising children in classroom or enrichment settings
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to the full Fall program schedule
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 2 per week
