Role: Registered Nurse Float Pool providing safe, high-quality patient care across multiple units including Med/Surg, ICU, ED, Rehab, and Senior Mental Health.
Responsibilities: Conduct patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, administer medications, assist with treatments, and evaluate patient progress. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, coordinate discharge planning, and ensure accurate documentation. Act as primary nurse or charge nurse when assigned, and support department goals while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment. Participate in performance improvement, adhere to infection control policies, and pursue ongoing professional development.
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing school, current RN licensure in the state or a compact state, active BCLS and ACLS certifications, and knowledge of CDC and CMS standards. Must work effectively in fast-paced, high-stress settings while maintaining confidentiality and patient-centered communication.
Skills: Strong clinical assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation skills, teamwork, adaptability, and commitment to continuous learning. Ability to delegate and supervise other care staff.
