Key Responsibilities
- Design lightweight mechanical packaging and enclosures for electrical and electronic assemblies used in demanding aerospace environments.
- Develop solutions for space-constrained systems exposed to atmospheric conditions and high electromagnetic interference (EMI).
- Perform structural and thermal analysis to validate designs and ensure performance requirements are met.
- Collaborate with Electrical Engineering teams to define mechanical requirements and create packaging concepts, layouts, and detailed designs.
- Support prototype builds, manufacturing integration, testing, and first-article production activities.
- Participate in design reviews and customer presentations, ensuring compliance with technical and program requirements.
- Create and maintain production-ready engineering documentation, drawings, and specifications.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturability, quality, and product performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8 years of mechanical engineering experience; advanced degrees may be considered in lieu of some experience.
- Experience designing mechanical packaging for electrical/electronic assemblies, preferably within aerospace, aviation, defense, or other high-reliability industries.
- Strong background in manufacturing support, product development, and engineering documentation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
