What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Manager position at Advantage Technical?
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and support budgeting and forecasting
- Analyze manufacturing costs, labor, material, overhead, and inventory variances
- Monitor inventory valuation, WIP, and job costing activities
- Support financial controls, audits, and compliance requirements
- Develop KPI reporting, dashboards, and process improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational performance
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3 years of cost accounting experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of actual cost accounting, inventory valuation, and job costing
- ERP system experience required; Infor Visual experience is a plus
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- CPA, CMA, defense manufacturing, aerospace, or government contracting experience is highly desirable
