Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Analyst for a new opening with our client in the Mebane, NC area. The Accounts Payable Analyst oversees the end-to-end accounts payable process to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments. This role supports process improvements, maintains vendor relationships, and ensures adherence to company policies and regulatory standards. The position acts as a subject matter expert within the Accounts Payable team and provides analytical insight to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily invoice processing, three-way matching, and payment runs with accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with vendors and internal departments.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable, including accruals and aging analysis.
- Analyze invoice trends, payment cycles, and vendor performance to support management decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, tax regulations, and audit requirements.
- Serve as the primary contact for complex vendor inquiries or disputes.
- Identify and implement process improvements or automation opportunities to streamline workflows.
- Support system upgrades, testing, and implementation of new AP technologies.
- Train and mentor junior team members, providing guidance on procedures and best practices.
- Prepare reports and metrics on AP activity and performance for leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of progressive experience in accounts payable.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, invoice processing, and payment cycles.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Experience with process optimization and AP automation tools preferred.
Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
