Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking an experienced Parts Specialist for a new opening with our client in Greensboro. The Parts Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, optimizing stock availability, and supporting efficient parts operations. This role ensures timely ordering, receiving, storage, and distribution of parts, contributing directly to service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of all parts inventory, including incoming shipments, returns, and adjustments.
- Perform regular inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
- Process incoming orders and restock shelves, ensuring parts are stored and labeled according to dealership standards.
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers to track backorders, verify pricing, and resolve delivery issues.
- Support parts counter staff by locating and delivering requested parts for service technicians and retail customers.
- Monitor usage patterns to recommend optimal stock levels and reduce excess or obsolete inventory.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized inventory areas, adhering to all safety and environmental regulations.
- Assist in preparing reports on inventory performance, turnover, and purchasing trends.
- Utilize the dealership’s inventory management system to track and update parts data accurately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical training preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control or parts management, preferably in heavy truck, trailer, or automotive industries.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience is required.
- QuickBooks software experience strongly preferred.
- Basic understanding of automotive OEM parts sourcing preferred.
