Purpose:
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, and completion of assigned projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within score, and on budget. This role acts as the primary point of contact between the client and the Company, managing resources, schedules and communication to achieve project success while maintaining high-quality standards and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. This position requires experience working within industrial environments and general contracting operations.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution – Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocations, collaborates with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project scope and objectives, assigns tasks and responsibilities needs to the Operations Manager, Superintendent and or Foremen to define project scope and objectives, so that tasks and assignments are clear and or works directly with Foremen to achieve scope and objectives.
Budget Management – Monitors project budgets and expenses to ensure profitability, identifies potential cost overruns and implements corrective measures as needed.
Scheduling Coordination – Works closely with the Operations Manager to allocate labor and resources effectively, coordinates the delivery of materials, equipment, and tools to project sites.
Client & Stakeholder Communication – Serves as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, addresses client concerns promptly and professionally to maintain satisfaction and protect the Company brand and reputation.
Compliance & Safety – Ensures all work complies with federal, state and local regulations, including OSHA standards, conducts site inspections to verify adherence to safety protocols and project specifications.
Team Leadership & Performance – mentors field personnel, fostering a collaborative and efficiency work environment, provides feedback and support to Superintendents and Foremen and the respective crews to enhance performance and productivity.
Problem Solving & Issue Resolution – Identifies and resolves project risks, delays or conflicts promptly, maintains detailed records of challenges and solutions for future improvement.
Documentation & Reporting – Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for internal and client review, maintains accurate project records, including change orders, permits and inspections.
Other – Other duties, roles and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
In-depth knowledge of industrial construction practices and general contracting operations.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements, including OSHA, DOT, and EPA standards.
Proficient in scheduling software and tools (e.g., WP, MS Project, Procore, or similar).
Exceptional organizational skills, record keeping, and strong attention to detail, including maintaining accurate records and schedules.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to enforce policies and collaborate with others including excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
Problem solving and decision-making capabilities in high pressure, time sensitive, geographically diverse locations and situations.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time.
Strong working knowledge of Office 365 including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel to job sites regularly with the physical ability to inspect job sites, including confined spaces, as needed.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb for extended periods, on uneven surfaces, in environments with potential exposure to weather and or vehicle hazards, as well as working in office environments on a computer.
Capacity to lift, carry or transport materials and equipment thirty (30) pounds or more.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in operations, construction management, engineering, business, or a related field a plus.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial construction project management and general contracting environments.
PMP certification (preferred but not required).
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Experience working in industrial or manufacturing environments a plus.
