Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager specializing in Commercial Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems to lead and coordinate complex construction projects from inception to completion. This role is to oversee HVAC projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, project scheduling, and HVAC systems, with a passion for driving project success through effective leadership and technical expertise.
Duties
- Lead the planning, execution, and closing of HVAC construction projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, engineers, and suppliers to facilitate seamless project workflows and resolve any issues promptly.
- Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to track progress and adjust plans as needed.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Manage procurement processes including construction estimating, contracts, and vendor negotiations to secure necessary materials and services.
- Oversee site activities on construction sites with a focus on safety standards, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
- Utilize tools like Fieldwire, Clockshark, Bluebeam, Asana, ProCore, Bluebeam, Civil 3D, HeavyBid, and other construction management software for document control, communication, and reporting purposes.
- Monitor project costs through HeavyBid or equivalent estimating tools while maintaining strict time management practices to meet deadlines.
- Ensure effective project coordination across teams by facilitating communication between stakeholders and managing project documentation diligently.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, review schematics adherence, and address any construction site challenges proactively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management with a focus on HVAC systems or related mechanical disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical specifications for HVAC projects.
- Proficiency in Fieldwire other project scheduling software; experience with Construction management software such as ProCore or Bluebeam is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with construction estimating tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining excellent time management skills.
- Hands-on construction site experience with a solid understanding of safety protocols and quality standards.
- Excellent communication skills for effective project coordination among diverse teams and stakeholders.
