The Warehouse Inventory Control Clerk I (Cycle Count Clerk) is responsible for performing daily cycle counts, maintaining accurate inventory records, investigating discrepancies, and supporting overall inventory control processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring stock accuracy and efficient warehouse operations within a cold storage environment.

• Perform daily cycle counts of physical inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures.

• Update and maintain inventory records using the company’s inventory management system.

• Investigate and resolve inventory variances promptly, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.

• Collaborate with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to maintain accurate stock levels and streamline inventory processes.

• Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, variances, or potential issues.

• Assist with full inventory audits and verify compliance with company and regulatory standards.

• Suggest process improvements for increased efficiency and accuracy in inventory control.

• Ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) or company-specific inventory methods.

• Report damaged, expired, or obsolete stock and coordinate proper product disposition.

• Maintain clean and organized storage areas in accordance with company safety and sanitation standards.

• Follow all safety, health, and food safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Monitor and report potential supply chain or operational disruptions affecting inventory accuracy.

• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or cycle counting (preferably in a food production or cold storage environment).

• Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and schedules.

• Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.

  • Willingness to work in a cold storage environment.
