Position Summary
The Warehouse Inventory Control Clerk I (Cycle Count Clerk) is responsible for performing daily cycle counts, maintaining accurate inventory records, investigating discrepancies, and supporting overall inventory control processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring stock accuracy and efficient warehouse operations within a cold storage environment.
Key Responsibilities

Perform daily cycle counts of physical inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures.

Update and maintain inventory records using the company’s inventory management system.

Investigate and resolve inventory variances promptly, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.

Collaborate with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to maintain accurate stock levels and streamline inventory processes.

Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, variances, or potential issues.

Assist with full inventory audits and verify compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Suggest process improvements for increased efficiency and accuracy in inventory control.

Ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) or company-specific inventory methods.

Report damaged, expired, or obsolete stock and coordinate proper product disposition.

Maintain clean and organized storage areas in accordance with company safety and sanitation standards.

Follow all safety, health, and food safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Monitor and report potential supply chain or operational disruptions affecting inventory accuracy.
Requirements

Experience: 1-2 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or cycle counting (preferably in a food production or cold storage environment).
