As a Field Technician, your primary responsibility will be to execute the day-to-day operations of new home inspections, installations, services, and warranties with a commitment to providing "Superior Service" to our customers. You will be expected to maintain accurate and effective communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism.

Job Summary
As a Field Technician, your primary responsibility will be to execute the day-to-day operations of new home inspections, installations, services, and warranties with a commitment to providing "Superior Service" to our customers. You will be expected to maintain accurate and effective communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Report new customers and potential subdivisions to sales to help increase sales
- Report new home starts and progress of house for applicable builders
- Verify new home measurements for applicable builders
- Subfloor Inspections per manufacturer specifications
- Inspect wall tile areas for every builder for accuracy
- Quality control, manage installs, customer service, and oversee warranties
- Reports stop payments, warranties, and services to office personnel
- Inspect and repairs for warranties and or services
- Perform moisture readings
- Product delivery as needed
- Assist in training new hires
- Attend and conduct installation and product knowledge trainings
- Manage “exceptions” for department solutions
- Manage update/changes to procedures and job description for your area
- Attend and participate in meetings and seminars
- Any other duties necessary to make Metro Carpets successful
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years Cabinetry experience
- 2 years Carpentry experience
- Proven experience as a cabinet maker, carpenter, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Previous experience in customer service or client-facing roles.
- Familiarity with different types of cabinet materials and finishes.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in construction and woodworking.
- Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn RFMS/Trackvia computer programs
- Ability to measure floor plans with accuracy
- Knowledge of subfloor prep and flooring repairs based on manufacturers specifications
- Basic math
- Laying out material per manufacturer recommendations
- Knowledge of installation processes based on manufacturers specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Must possess the ability to stand for extended periods of time; to reach with hands and arms; to move among and between warehouses; to handle hand tools and power tools, to sit, stoop, kneel and crouch; to lift and move up to 50 pounds; to see well enough to discern differences in quality of documents and products.
