Duties
- Operate meat grinding machinery with precision, following established safety and quality protocols
- Prepare and set up equipment for daily production runs, including cleaning and sanitation procedures in compliance with HACCP standards
- Assist in meat cutting and trimming to ensure proper portioning before grinding
- Monitor the grinding process to maintain consistent texture and weight of ground meat products
- Maintain cleanliness of work area, adhering to sanitation regulations and OSHA requirements for a safe food processing environment
- Package finished ground meat products accurately, labeling according to food safety guidelines
- Conduct routine mechanical checks on equipment and report any malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food processing or manufacturing, especially within a meat or food production plant, is preferred
- Knowledge of HACCP, OSHA, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations is highly desirable
- Demonstrated knife skills and familiarity with meat cutting techniques
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating and troubleshooting grinding machinery
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control and safety compliance
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
