Job Title: Pipe Threader / Boiler & Radiator Technician
Pay Rate: $18 – $21 per hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: Wright City, MO
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Pipe Threader / Boiler & Radiator Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with steel pipe threading, installation, repair, and maintenance of piping systems. Preferred candidates will also have knowledge of boilers, radiators, and heating systems. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently across residential, commercial, or industrial job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, thread, and install steel pipe according to project specifications
- Assemble and secure pipe systems using appropriate tools and equipment
- Install, maintain, and repair boilers, radiators, valves, fittings, and related heating equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Inspect piping and heating systems for leaks, pressure issues, and proper operation
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues in boiler and radiator systems
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing systems
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company procedures
- Collaborate with other trades to complete projects on schedule
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment
Qualifications:
- Required: Experience in steel pipe threading
- Preferred: Experience with boilers and radiators
- Knowledge of pipe fitting, installation, and repair techniques
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment
- Understanding of safety practices and applicable mechanical/building codes
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Preferred Skills:
- Commercial or industrial mechanical systems experience
- Welding or fabrication experience is a plus
- Boiler troubleshooting and maintenance experience
- Valid driver’s license
- OSHA or other safety certifications (preferred)
Work Environment:
- Indoor and outdoor job sites
- May include mechanical rooms, construction sites, and occupied buildings
- Physical work involving standing, bending, climbing, and lifting throughout the day
