Payroll Specialist – Redwood City, CA (5x onsite per week)
Hourly Pay Rate: $50 - $55/hr., depending on experience

A start-up, AI powered platform is looking to bring on a Payroll Specialist to help stabilize and support a fast-moving payroll function during a period of growth and system transition. A new Director and Senior Payroll Manager recently joined and are actively rebuilding the process—this is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in hands-on, startup-style environments and wants to make an immediate impact.
The role:
You’ll be deeply involved in end-to-end payroll processing and review, working alongside two other team members in a high-volume, union and non-union environment. This is a true “roll-up-your-sleeves” role where your expertise will be valued from day one.

- 3 years of A–Z payroll experience
- Strong background in union payroll, timecards, and timesheets
- Experience helping build, improve, or stabilize payroll processes
- Comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Quick learner with a startup mentality who takes initiative
- Experience with ADP WFN (or similar), HRIS systems (Lyrix a plus), and strong Excel skills
