Responsibilities:
- Support full-cycle payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with established procedures
- Accurately calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions, including benefits and garnishments
- Review and validate employee timekeeping data, attendance records, and leave balances
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations, with a strong focus on payroll tax withholdings, filings, and reporting requirements
- Prepare and file payroll tax reports, including quarterly and annual filings, W-2s, 1099s, and other required documentation
- Research, investigate, and resolve payroll discrepancies, including tax-related issues, and respond to employee inquiries
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to ensure accurate data flow and alignment across payroll, benefits, and financial systems
- Monitor changes in payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements, proactively recommending updates to processes as needed
- Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of payroll and tax-related documentation
- Support year-end payroll activities, including reconciliation, reporting, and tax form distribution
Requirements:
- 2 years of full-cycle payroll processing, including payroll tax set-up for multiple states and jurisdictions
- Associates degree in Accoutning, Human Resources or related highly preferred
