Job Description:
We are partnering with a growing organization seeking an Accounts Receivable Supervisor to lead a team responsible for cash applications, deductions, account reconciliations, and customer account support. This role will oversee day-to-day AR operations while helping drive process improvements, team development, and operational efficiencies.
The ideal candidate will bring a well-rounded accounts receivable background, strong leadership experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be comfortable mentoring staff, resolving escalated issues, and supporting process improvement initiatives within an ERP-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support accounts receivable staff by providing coaching, training, workload direction, and performance feedback
- Oversee daily cash application activities, account reconciliations, deductions processing, and aging management
- Monitor customer accounts and assist with resolving short payments, deductions, disputed balances, and overdue accounts
- Partner with internal teams and customers to resolve escalated AR inquiries and improve overall processes
- Support month-end close activities, reporting, KPI tracking, and audit-related requests
- Maintain customer records and support ERP system maintenance related to AR functions
- Monitor electronic invoice and payment processing workflows, partnering with technical teams when issues arise
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and increased operational efficiency within the AR function
- Assist with special projects and company-wide initiatives impacting accounts receivable operations
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5 years of accounts receivable and/or accounting experience with prior leadership or supervisory experience
- Well-rounded AR background including cash applications, deductions, reconciliations, and aging analysis
- Experience working within ERP systems; SAP experience preferred, though other large ERP systems will be considered
- Strong Microsoft Excel and general technology skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and communicate effectively across departments
- Process-driven mindset with a focus on accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement
