Title: Payroll Analyst

Location: Schaumburg, IL

Assignment Type: 3- month contract with potential for extensions

Compensation: $40.00 - $45.00 / Hourly depending on relevant experience

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Payroll Analyst to oversee end-to-end payroll operations for employees across the U.S. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organization where your expertise will directly support employees, leadership, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing through a third-party payroll provider, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Review and approve payroll changes including salary adjustments, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
• Prepare payroll reports, reconcile payroll accounts, and resolve discrepancies in partnership with Finance and Accounting teams.
• Ensure payroll tax compliance and support internal and external payroll audits.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and provide payroll guidance to HR and management.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within Workday and HRIS systems.
• Manage vendor relationships and monitor payroll provider performance to ensure service expectations are met.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and workplace safety standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on Workday payroll processing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• CPP certification or other payroll-related certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of corporate payroll experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
