Job Description:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-driven Legal Assistant / Paralegal to support attorneys within a dynamic and collaborative legal environment. This role blends traditional legal support responsibilities with a strong emphasis on leveraging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency and modernize internal processes. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and interested in applying emerging technologies within a legal setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to attorneys
- Prepare, format, edit, and organize legal documents and correspondence
- Assist with drafting and reviewing materials while ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Conduct legal and general research using both conventional tools and AI-enabled platforms
- Utilize automation tools to streamline workflows and enhance productivity
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate deadlines
- Maintain organized electronic files within document management systems
- Identify inefficiencies in current processes and recommend technology-based improvements
- Support implementation and testing of new legal technology solutions
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of legal operations
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a legal, corporate, or professional services environment preferred
- Paralegal certificate or bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- Familiarity with legal documentation, terminology, or court procedures is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with document management or research tools preferred
- Basic knowledge of data analysis, process improvement, or project coordination
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- Self-starter with a strong sense of accountability and initiative
