Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Private Pay Biller to support their business office team by managing resident billing, maintaining accurate account balances, and ensuring timely payment collection. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial accuracy and delivering clear communication to patients and families regarding their financial responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in private pay or self-pay collections within healthcare
- Familiarity with Medicaid billing processes
- Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle operations
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly and professionally
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and review monthly billing statements to identify outstanding balances
- Follow up on overdue accounts and coordinate payment arrangements with patients or responsible parties
- Communicate clearly with residents and families regarding billing questions and out-of-pocket costs
- Submit Medicaid claims accurately and in a timely manner
- Monitor account balances and work to reduce aged receivables
