Position Summary
The Medical Biller will be responsible for preparing, reviewing and submitting claims to various payers either electronically or by paper. Responsible for timely and accurate review of the rejected claims to ensure that all claims were accepted by the payer. Maintain a thorough understanding of billing and collection processes and report any concerns or problems evident to appropriate staff and/or departments as needed. Responsible for performing all job duties while adhering to HIPAA requirements.

Required
Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred
1 year office experience
Previous medical billing experience
Knowledge of ICD10 and HCPCS coding
Knowledge of insurance and reimbursement process

Below is the starting salary or hourly range for this position, although offers may differ based on the candidate's location, job-specific knowledge, skills and experience.
US Pay Range
$20.77 - $27.26 USD

Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit paper and/or electronic claims to various payers ensuring accurate submission for clean claim production
- Manage reports and resubmission of electronic claims
- Continually search for ways to improve the billing process, striving for efficiency in daily operations and partnering with co-workers and management to leverage and implement efficiencies
- Update and maintain patient files and database records
- Other duties as assigned
Required
Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
