Job Description:
Addison Group is seeking a Denials Specialist to join our client’s revenue cycle team. This direct-hire role focuses on investigating, resolving, and preventing insurance claim denials, with an emphasis on infusion pharmacy billing. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, coding knowledge, and experience managing appeals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and validate insurance claim denials for accuracy in coding and billing
- Research and compile documentation to support appeals
- Prepare, track, and resubmit corrected claims within payer timeframes
- Escalate unresolved issues to leadership for review
- Audit revenue cycle processes for accuracy and compliance
- Maintain primary focus on infusion pharmacy billing
- Collaborate with clinical and billing teams to reduce future denials
- Stay current on payer policies and billing regulations
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of medical billing experience, including 1 year in infusion billing
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS codes (including J and S codes)
- Familiarity with payer requirements and medical terminology
- Proficiency with EHR systems and standard computer programs
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills
