Job Description:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Intellectual Property Paralegal with prior experience supporting patent and trademark matters in a fast-paced legal setting. This individual will assist attorneys with prosecution support, filings, legal research, docket management, and intellectual property administration for both domestic and international matters.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct preliminary patent, trademark, and copyright research
• Support intellectual property prosecution activities for U.S. and international filings
• Prepare and electronically submit legal documents through USPTO and PCT systems
• Coordinate maintenance fee payments and monitor deadlines for patent portfolios
• Assist with due diligence reviews and intellectual property research projects
• Prepare cost projections related to filings, renewals, and prosecution activities
• Maintain accurate records, case files, and intellectual property documentation
• Collaborate with attorneys and internal teams to ensure timely case management and compliance
Qualifications:
• 5 years of experience working in an Intellectual Property Paralegal role
• Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred
• Hands-on experience with USPTO electronic filing systems and Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) filings
• Familiarity with e-discovery platforms and legal document management systems
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Advanced computer proficiency and strong attention to detail
