Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with insurance carriers to obtain payment on open and outstanding claims
- Review accounts receivable and claim documentation to identify delays, denials, or discrepancies
- Monitor claim status through payer portals and internal systems, correcting and resubmitting claims when needed
- Initiate and manage appeals for denied, rejected, or partially paid claims within payer deadlines
- Address complex denial scenarios such as medical necessity, bundled services, fee schedule discrepancies, or documentation gaps
- Meet daily productivity expectations, including a minimum volume of claims worked per day
- Minimum 3 years of Professional (PB) A/R follow-up experience required
- Experience working with both government and commercial insurance plans
- Hands-on follow-up with Medicaid and IN payor experience required
- Experience managing high-dollar or high-volume A/R inventories
- Experience with EPIC required
- Consistent work history with reliable attendance and punctuality
- Comfortable working in a performance-oriented environment with productivity tracking
- Fully onsite role in a professional office setting
